Rajesh (Raj) Thankappan - Chief Executive Officer

Raj has over 15 years of experience in managing people, projects, and operations in Asia, Europe, and North America across financial services, technology consulting, and manufacturing industries. He was a SVP at Providian Financial Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company based in San Francisco, USA. responsible for the company's Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Corporate Vendor Management (CVM). He has an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with onshore and offshore operations, including collections, customer service, telemarketing, IT and back office processes.

He has been instrumental in developing Providian's BPO strategic growth since the first quarter of 2000 and is credited with initiating call center and IT offshoring to global locations when BPO was still an emerging concept in the industry.

Prior to joining Providian in 1999, he has spent six years with General Electric, where his work ranged from product development to customer consulting in Europe and Japan. 

Raj has a Masters in Engineering and Management of Technology, and a B.S. in Mechanical and Material Science Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He is also trained in Six Sigma quality methodology and has used it actively to re-engineer processes at Providian.

Rich experience in full life cycle implementation of Datacenter, Networks (LAN & WAN ) Telecom (PBX , MSS and QMS systems), CIM (Predictive Dialers) and Systems (NOS , Mail messaging etc ) from inception to realization
